Post-Caesarean Pilates Classes

 

 

Attending a class can be a fun, social and motivating way of starting exercise. It is also a good opportunity to connect with other mums who are going through the same experience. Jelly Belly offers mat Pilates classes for mums who are 6 weeks post-caesarean and are looking to increase core strength and stability, correct posture post pregnancy, improve body shape and muscle tone and as a result lose their jelly belly!

 

Jelly Belly Post-Caesarean

This is an initial 10 week course that will cover the fundamental and improver levels of the mat Pilates exercises. This course aims to help mums identify their core muscles, create better body awareness and form a good foundation for more intense levels of exercise later on. Considerations and adaptations are made to cater for the more sensitive tummy area minimising any pain or discomfort.

 

 

Post-natal Pilates Classes


 

Jelly Belly Post-Natal                  

Duration: 10 weeks                      

Time: 1 hour

This course is for mothers who have had a vaginal birth and are looking to regain and improve their core strength, pelvic floor, postural issues post-pregnancy and general well being. Over the 10 weeks you will begin by performing beginner level exercises working through to an improver level. During this time you will experience greater body awareness and control, improving posture, balance and shape as you work on losing the jelly belly!

{Both Post-caesarean and Post-natal courses are limited to groups no larger than 6 allowing close attention and guidance. Pre-crawling babies are welcome allowing mums to tend to their baby if need be and also for those who do not yet feel ready to separate from their newborn.}

 

Pre-course Package

 

 

If you have just had your baby and you are looking at starting some very gentle exercises now to increase mobility and strength before joining a course, the pre-course package may be suitable for you. It involves two private sessions within your own home as well as the ten week course. The private sessions last for 45 minutes each and you are provided with an exercise card to help you practice the exercises.

Jelly Belly Wonder Woman

Duration: continuous

Time: 1 hour

Cost: £50 for 5 weeks


Follow on classes are then available to mums who have completed an initial 10 week course and/or are more able to perform improver to advanced levels of Pilates exercises. These classes will introduce the use of equipment as well as various routines and sequences of Pilates exercises. Sessions run continuously and are bookable in 5 week blocks, allowing you to secure your place.

 

{These classes are limited to no more than 8 participants. Babies are also welcome.}
